Our Int came in with a small puncture wound to her shoulder today, must have got it from the hedge. It went through the rug and bib. Vet called and we have her on antibiotics and plenty of flushing out the wound. Anyone else had this and do they heal quickly. Can still ride if she's not too sore tomorrow, just hope it wont scar. It's roughly 1 centimeter long and about the same deep.

I use camarosa cream on everything, my mare had a 6cm long gash and 1 cm deep on her forehead where my other horse had kicked her and we cleaned it out and put camarosa cream on it n its cleared up n has no scar!

Lexy did exactly the same around Xmas. He had a small course of antibiotics to be on the safe side and i am a great believer in aloe vera gel too, that heps it to heal from the inside. Camrosa is good too.

keep it clean, and flushed out thats all I can say. We had a mare with a puncture wound, with foal at foot. sadly we lost the mare because of infection. Yes she had her jabs and the vet visited everyday.. but we still lost her Keep a close eye on it..
